Ryan currently teaches classes and workshops in silks, hoop, hammock, yoga, and flexibility throughout the U.S., based mainly out of the Richmond, Virginia area. She also conducts a comprehensive teacher training course for silks based on methods she has developed throughout her performance and teaching career. The course is taught in person with a complete manual including basic equipment and safety knowledge. Her priority in all of her teaching is clean lines and movements based on proper alignment with exceptional technique. Body awareness and progressive strength training turn simple fabric manipulations or hoop poses into beautiful shapes and effortless sequences and acts.

Ryan began teaching dance as a high school student in Bay City, Michigan. After studying both teaching and choreography while receiving her BFA in Dance at Western Michigan University, she began choreographing dances at the competitive level, many receiving specialty awards and high scores at both regional and national competitions. While living in New York City, Ryan taught silks, hoop, hammock, and flexibility classes at the world renowned aerial and pole studio Body & Pole.

Ryan also trained high school students to perform choreographed silks routines in the musical The Little Mermaid performed to sold out audiences at the Virginia Theater in Champaign, Illinois. She is currently on staff as the yoga instructor for the Crossfit-style week long training and educational clinic Power Monkey Camp by Power Monkey Fitness.
